Monodon - Navantia Receives the Henneo Group’s Technological Innovation Award Following a Historic Year

Navantia has been awarded the Technological Innovation Award granted by the Henneo group, publisher of La Información Económica and Business Insider. The recognition was accepted by Patricia Sierra, Director of the disruptive innovation cell monodon, on behalf of the company.

During her speech, Patricia Sierra expressed her gratitude for the award and highlighted that this recognition arrives during a “historic year” for Navantia, marked by an unprecedented technological and strategic leap.

Key Milestones of an Exceptional Year

To illustrate this qualitative growth, the Director of Monodon reviewed the entity’s recent main achievements:

  • Success of the S81 Submarine: An engineering milestone that has just successfully returned from its first mission with NATO.
  • Advancements in F110 Frigates and the Digital Twin: The launch of the first frigate of the series has taken place, alongside the consolidated development of its Digital Twin.
  • International Expansion: Following the acquisition of the Harland & Wolff shipyard, Navantia UK is making steady progress in the FSS program for the British Royal Navy, marking the start of steel cutting today at the Appledore facility.
  • Consolidation of Innovation: The official launch of Monodon, alongside the Navantia COEX Network, materializes the company’s comprehensive commitment to technological innovation.

Global Leadership in the Defense Sector

To top off this period of growth, it was emphasized that Navantia remains, for yet another year, the only Spanish company featured in the Global Top 100 Defense Industry. Finally, management extended its most sincere gratitude to all the company’s professionals whose daily work makes it possible to reach these levels of excellence and international competitiveness.
